Biography

I was born in 1975 and have been obsessed with games ever since. I treated board games as a sort of Lego set, merely a collection of parts used to create newer and better games. As a I got older this obsession transferred into video games.

When I graduated high school I briefly attended the University of North Texas as a Film major. After determining that I didn’t want to be in the movie business after all, I dropped out and joined the Army for six years.

During my time in the service I learned all sorts of creative ways to wind up doing push-ups, and ended up designing propaganda for Psychological Operations. As I neared the end of my service I started looking at colleges to study advertising. That’s when I noticed that some schools were starting to teach video game design.

“You can study how to make games?!?! SIGN ME UP!”

I moved to San Francisco to attend an art school that had a game program, but was generally unhappy with the quality of education I was receiving there. While I was busy studying Game Art & Design, SMU opened The Guildhall program, about 20 minutes away from where I went to high school. I moved back to start the program, and graduated in December of 2005.

Currently, I am employed at High Voltage Software as a Game Designer.
